FDA - Food & Drug Administration - Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition, Dietary Supplements:
The Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition is a branch of the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is a public health agency, charged with protecting American consumers by enforcing the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and several related public health laws. Stated most simply, the FDA's mission is to promote and protect the public health by helping safe and effective products reach the market in a timely way, and monitoring products for continued safety after they are in use. Their work is a blending of law and science aimed at protecting consumers. This specific branch is an overview of FDA regulation of dietary supplements.

NIH - National Institutes of Health, Office of Dietary Supplements:
The Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) is a congressionally mandated office in the Office of the Director, National Institutes of Health (NIH). The ODS supports research and disseminates research results in the area of dietary supplements. The ODS also provides advice to other Federal agencies regarding research results related to dietary supplements.

Natural Products Association
Founded in 1936, the Natural Products Association is the nation’s largest and oldest non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry. The Natural Products Association represents more than 10,000 retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors of natural products, including foods, dietary supplements, and health/beauty aids.

The Canadian Health Food Association
The Canadian Health Food Association is Canada’s largest national trade association dedicated to the natural health and organic products industry.
The association represents manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, growers and importers of natural and organic products, including foods, vitamin and mineral supplements, herbal products, homeopathics, sports nutrition products, fibres and health and beauty aids.
