Bee Propolis Spray |
Description
Propolis is collected from the bee hive of honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) (Apidae). It is a resinous substance that is gathered by honey bees from tree buds, sap flows or other botanical sources. They combine it with beeswax and are used as a sealant to fortify and sterilize their hives. Honey bees seal the beehive with propolis to protect the colony from the elements, such as rain, cold winter drafts as well as prevent diseases and parasites from entering the hive and to inhibit bacterial growth.

Traditionally used in herbal medicine, bee propolis contains protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals.
